Impressed at how rapid and cheap. Would definitely recommend
Before you order
Is Online Deed Polls legit?
Yes. Online Deed Polls is an independent UK business that has drafted Deed Polls since 2000, rated 4.95 out of 5 from 7,678 reviews on Reviews.co.uk. A paralegal drafts every order by hand, quality control checks it, and it is posted the same working day. If a Deed Poll we drafted is refused and we cannot put it right, you get the whole order back. We are not part of the government, and no Deed Poll company is.

A Deed Poll bought online is a real legal document
GOV.UK names a specialist agency or a solicitor among the people who can prepare a Deed Poll, for a fee if they charge one. HM Passport Office’s guidance to its own staff goes further. It says an unenrolled Deed Poll may be made online, that staff must accept one carrying signatures in the old and new names, at least one witness, ink rather than print, and a date, and that they must not pass comment on the company that drafted it.

Three addresses, and which two are us
Much of the doubt about Deed Poll websites comes from names that look alike. Here is the short version.
- Us
www.deedpolls.org
Online Deed Polls: this website, where you order.
- Us
www.deedpolls-online.co.uk
Deed Polls Online: our handbook, with the same service and price.
- Not us
deedpollsonline.co.uk
No hyphen. A different company, with no connection to us.

What we never do
A trustworthy service is also defined by what it leaves out. Each of these is a policy you can find stated elsewhere on this site.
No telephone line
We answer in writing, by email or the message form, so you keep the answer.
No subscription, no account
You pay once, at the checkout, for what you choose there.
No hidden fees
Delivery, copies and extras are each priced and picked by you before you pay.
No enrolment to sell you
We do not enrol Deed Polls with the High Court, so we never push it.
No passport applications
You make yours yourself with HM Passport Office, online at GOV.UK or through a Post Office.
No selling your data
Our terms say we never sell it, or hand it to anyone else to market to you.
No pretending to be official
We are not part of His Majesty’s Government or any court, and never suggest otherwise.
No legal advice
We are not solicitors, and cannot advise on your legal position or a court matter.
How to check us yourself
Five minutes is enough to be sure. The same checks work on any Deed Poll company you are weighing up.

Very fast and cheap compared to other options. Fully accepted everywhere (I used Deed Polls Online to change the name on my license)
Needed a name change and these guys made the whole process seamless. I can definitely recommend them.
More about who we are
Is deedpolls.org legit?
Yes. deedpolls.org is the website of Online Deed Polls, an independent UK business that has drafted Deed Polls since 2000, with an office at 3rd Floor, 86–90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE. Thousands of customers have reviewed us on Reviews.co.uk, and if a Deed Poll we drafted is refused and we cannot put it right, we refund the whole order. The evidence.
Is paying for a Deed Poll online a scam?
No, though paying is optional: GOV.UK publishes wording for a Deed Poll you can make yourself, and says a specialist agency or a solicitor may charge to make one. What our £18.50 pays for is a paralegal’s drafting, a check before printing, dispatch the same working day and a refund if it is ever refused, with Royal Mail delivery chosen at the checkout.
Is deedpolls.org an official government website?
No, and no Deed Poll website is. We are an independent private business with no connection to His Majesty’s Government, the courts or HM Passport Office. The only official Deed Poll process is optional enrolment with the High Court, which we do not offer.
Are Online Deed Polls and Deed Polls Online the same company?
Yes: they are two websites of one business, www.deedpolls.org and www.deedpolls-online.co.uk, with a hyphen, offering the same service at the same price. deedpollsonline.co.uk, without a hyphen, belongs to a different company and has nothing to do with us. Which names are us.
Does Online Deed Polls have a phone number?
No. There is no telephone line: our paralegals answer by email, at support@deedpolls.org, or through the message form on our contact page, usually the same working day. Writing means you have the answer to keep.
Will a Deed Poll from deedpolls.org actually be accepted?
Yes. HM Passport Office instructs its staff to accept unenrolled Deed Polls, those bought online among them, once signed in both names, witnessed and dated, and GOV.UK lists a Deed Poll among the proof DVLA accepts. If one of ours is ever refused and we cannot settle it with the organisation, we refund the whole order.
Something else? Ask a paralegal and we will answer, usually the same working day.
