Tracking your order
Where’s my Deed Poll?
We post every Deed Poll the same working day you order, and email you when it goes. With Tracked or Tracked & Signed delivery, a second email brings your Royal Mail tracking number; 1st and 2nd Class are not tracked. Still waiting after the last day of its delivery window? Email support@deedpolls.org with your order reference.

From your order to your doormat
Five steps, with an email at each one that matters. The delivery days count from the day it is posted.
When should yours arrive?
Pick the post you chose at the checkout. The dates are for an order placed today; if you ordered earlier, count the same number of working days on from the day your dispatch email came.
- Tracked£6.99Royal Mail tracking number by email
- Tracked & Signed£9.99Tracking number, and signed for at the door
- 1st Class£4.99No tracking
- 2nd Class£2.99No tracking
Ordered after that day’s post had gone, at a weekend or on a bank holiday? It was posted on the next working day, so count from then.
If you ordered today
We post it the same working day. After that, the post you picked decides when it lands:
- Tracked1 to 2 working days, at £6.99
- Tracked & Signed1 to 2 working days, at £9.99
- 1st Class1 to 3 working days, at £4.99
- 2nd Class3 to 5 working days, at £2.99
The name becomes yours on the day you sign it in front of your witnesses.

- Could arrive
- Your new nameYours the moment you sign it with your witnesses watching
Counted in working days, so weekends and bank holidays in England and Wales are skipped. An order placed after the day’s post has gone is posted the next working day.
The emails to look out for
Each one carries your order reference. They come from orders@mail.deedpolls.org, so search for that address, and check your junk or spam folder too.

Your order reference, the names on the order, what is included and the delivery you chose.
- Within 2 hours

Tracking and delivery, answered
How do I track my Deed Poll?
Choose Tracked or Tracked & Signed at the checkout. Once your Deed Poll is posted, we email you the Royal Mail tracking number with a link to follow it, and the tracking can take a few hours to show. 1st and 2nd Class are not tracked, so the email telling you it has been posted is your marker.
When will my Deed Poll arrive?
We post it the working day you order, unless that day’s post has gone or it is a weekend or bank holiday, when it goes the next working day. From then, Tracked and Tracked & Signed take 1 to 2 working days, 1st Class 1 to 3 and 2nd Class 3 to 5. Those are Royal Mail’s estimates rather than guarantees.
My Deed Poll has not arrived. What should I do?
Once the last day of its delivery window has passed, email support@deedpolls.org with your order reference, the name on the order and the postcode it was going to. Royal Mail asks anyone waiting for an item to contact the sender rather than Royal Mail, and the sender is us.
I have not had an email saying it was posted. Why?
We send it on the working day your Deed Poll goes in the post. Search your inbox and junk folder for orders@mail.deedpolls.org, and look for an email asking you to confirm your names or delivery address: when we need to check either, the order waits for your reply.
Can you email my Deed Poll instead of posting it?
No. You sign the printed paper in ink with your witnesses watching, so the paper itself is what we post, to the address on your order. There is no downloadable version to print at home.
What happens if I miss a Tracked & Signed delivery?
Someone has to sign for it, so if nobody is in, Royal Mail leaves a card explaining how to have it delivered again or collect it. If being in to sign is hard, Tracked delivery is just as quick and needs no signature.
